Yes it is proprietary. Each companies HDLC encapsulation is
slightly different. There may be a company out there that intentionally
made theirs compatible with another vendor, but for the most part PPP is the
stuff that dreams are made of.

router to work. I already disabled keepalives on the Cisco side, but it
