RE: asymmetric routing?

Sounds like a potential routing loop if done incorrectly. There is the
transmit-interface command you might want to take a look at if it meets your
needs.

You could use some static routes to force traffic out the other interface,
or you could do some route filtering at one interface for eigrp routes.

You could get EIGRP to do load balancing on the two links by manipulating
the variance command, and then route filter (or add statics) accordingly to
force traffic out one link, and back the other. Make sure if one link goes
down, it will use the other link for back/forth traffic.

I guess it's abit easier if you are only looking at two routers, and
probably advertising a network at each end. If you have more routers than
the two in your EIGRP network, this can be quite tricky.

Subject: asymmetric routing?

this is a client thinking of things for you to waste your time on !

2 sites, 2 WAN connections between them
one ISDN, the other frame relay, both 128Kbps

client wants to transmit traffic on the ISDN, and
receive traffic on FR:

A - - -ISDN - -> B
A <- - - FR - - - B

I haven't done this before, and don't know if it can be

Currently there is EIGRP at both ends, but that can be
changed easily

Any suggestions appreciated

David
