Ken,
Think about it like this: What part of the packet is the router looking
at to make its decision?

cid2

Subject: BASIC Question

Sorry for the basic question but i am a little clouded about something,

Diagram:

Host A connected to 192.168.1.0/24
Host B connected to 192.168.2.0/24

These 2 networks are directly connected to a single router

HOSTA--------Router--------HOSTB

When Host A pings Host B through the router, is this actual routing or
not?

Thanks,
