The PIX comes with the unrestricted (UR) and restricted(R) licenses, which
really is based on the number of sessions supported....I dont remember the
exact number of sessions that a 515-R supports but you could find that in
the datasheet...
A PIX-FO is the failover box for which you would have to purchase a PIX-UR
with it.....In a PIX-FO, the price is only for the chassis and not for the
PIX software....
For a lab at home, I would think a 515-R would suffice.....

Vijay.

I know this is OT.
I want to purchase a PIX 515 for my lab at home. (doing the Security
Exam)
Does anyone have any info on the different licensing schemes? Ie. What
is the difference between a
515E and a 515E-R and a 515 Failover?
Thanks beforehand!
Sam Sena
