12.1(5)T12 is an Early Deployment release, and those releases can be
buggy. Try upgrading to a more stable (GD) release.

Subject: OT: 12.1(T) ROUTELIMITEXCEEDED error

I am getting errors consistently on a couple of my 2500s with
12.1(5)T12. I think it happened on 2600 too with same version IOS.
Anyone else see this?

ra(config)#int ser 0
ra(config-if)#ip address 10.1.5.1 255.255.252.0 ra(config-if)#no shut
00:09:55: %IPRT-3-ROUTELIMITEXCEEDED: IP routing table limit exceeded -
Default-IP-Routing-Table, 10.1.4.0/22

This is a fresh booted router with empty config. There is nothing in
route table at this point. In the above situation, I exited config mode
and re-entered. Second time no error message. Show ip int brief shows
the int configured, but still not in route table. Then a quick clear ip
route, shows up right away. I do this several times a day on different
routers, but all same IOS. Doesn't happen with 12.1(18) routers. .
