Tony,

An ethernet interface in a router with IOS 12.2 can be a dhcp client.

Internet(config)#interface ethernet 0
Internet(config-if)#ip address ?
A.B.C.D IP address
dhcp IP Address negotiated via DHCP

Internet(config-if)#ip address dhcp ?
  client-id Specify client-id to use
  hostname Specify value for hostname option
  <cr>

A router can only be a DHCP server that I am aware of. The Cisco online
documentation covers this pretty well. If you are looking for it to be a
client, I think you are out of luck. That is, unless somebody knows
something in contrary.
