Hi Vijay,

Area 0 and VL can have different auth. The support is available since 12.x

Subject: Virtual link authentication RE: Was DLSW+ encapsulation

Hi,
The virtual link authentication does not depend on the area 1
authentication i.e transit area authentication.....
Here since area 0 does not authenticate, the virtual link will not have
authentication configured.....at least thats my understanding...

So you could use different authentication for area 1 and area
0......However I am not too sure if the authentication type for the area 0
and virtual link could be different....

Could some one shed light on this......

Regards,
Vijay.
