Yes, I test it, You are right. But read some document on cisco web site
that you have to have area 0 authentication enable for authentication on
the virtual link working. Is that for old IOS version?

Just get it from Vol 1 book. "when authentication is configured, it must be
configured for an entire area". So if area 0 link is authentication on, so
entire area 0 will authentication on, then it will reach to the router
where the virtual link terminates. so there is no options for virtual link.
