Just an FYI - you don't need CallManager if you're only going to provide
basic dialtone for a few IP Phones:

Since it's not a 12.1 mainline feature, it's probably outside the scope
of CCIE study - but just so you knew.

Hi,

Using the Voice VLAN feature isn't going to buy you anything unless
you're running Call Manager with Cisco IP Phones or some other vendors
VoIP solution. I work for Avaya and we use Voice VLANs and the CatOS
Aux VLANs quite a bit in our VoIP implementations. Basically it's an
easy way to separate the traffic from an IP Phone and the traffic from a
PC plugged into the switch on the IP phone into separate VLANS.

I currently have 2 of NM-1V & 2 VIC-2FXS. Is there a particular type of
Cisco IP Phones that is needed for Voice VLANs?? Or anything would
work??

Any other gears that i missed?
