On the 3550 switchport protected is the command
I use them when I have a dmz and I do not want the servers to be able to
talk to one another even though they are in the same vlan.
So, I can have an smtp server and a web server sitting on the same subnet
but they can only talk to the default router(this port does not have
switchport protected on)
