Hi
Try the command below on the interface to another Rip neighbor. I have tried
it on my routers. It works. If it wouldn't in yours, give me more details
about your connection environment. Your graph below was not so detailed.
Mine is:
R4(e0)---130.130.10.0/24(Rip)-----(e0)R5-----(Lo0 130.130.100.1/27 in ospf
area 0)
On R5 do the
interface Ethernet0
ip address 130.130.10.5 255.255.255.0
ip summary-address rip 130.130.100.0 255.255.255.0
router rip
redistribute ospf 1 metric 1
network 130.130.0.0
Please try it and tell me the result.
Merry Christmas.

Subject: Redist into RIP
Hello
(RIP ver 1)
(OSPF Area 0)
R3 ------- 130.130.10.0/24 ------- R2 ------- 130.130.50.0/24 ------- R1
Suppose that R2 has a loopback 130.130.100.1/27 and it is part of OSPF
area 0. How to redistribute R2 loopback into RIP ver 1?
ip ospf network point-to-point will not work because the loopback is
/27. I did it by putting loopback into another area and then
summarizing 130.130.100.0/24 into area 0. Is there any way to do it
without creating new area and can I create new area in the exam without
instructions to do that ?
Abdallah
