If you have a single transport between the stub area and the core, the cost
of that transport shouldn't matter. There are no alternative routes.

Subject: OSPF: stub, changing metric of default-route
Hi all,
I have stub area configured on my internal router (in
area 2 only) which connects to my backbone router (in
area 2 and area 0).
So basically when you do this, the backbone router
will by default advertise a default-route of 0.0.0.0
into the internal router.
Q) How do I manipulate the default-route's cost?
O*IA 0.0.0.0/0 [110/65] via 116.16.35.3, Serial1/0
As you can see the AD110/C65 - how do I change this
cost so it reflects a lower cost. I would think
obviously this has to be done on the backbone router.
rgds,
Sage
