Router-id command would be the preferred way. Think about a router with a
virtual link set up to another one. If you relied on highest loopback
address as a router id, if somebody added a loopback in the future with a
higher IP address your virtual link would be broken after a router reload.
Router-id command makes sure hat the ID stays the same regardless of any
changes to the router.
