It varies per platform. 'Sh ver' will tell you towards the bottom the
size of the NV RAM. This is a 2600:
32K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.
Keep in mind that some other things can share this space, like RSA keys.
'Dir nvram:' will show you what's on there, and how much is free. If you
start to get full, you can always enable 'service compress', which
compresses the config, usually 50 to 75 percent. Getting a config from TFTP
is always an option too.
