So is this means if I am running in to problems and default network can
solve my problem and not mentioned in lab to don't use it I can use it and
it will not be considered static route is this ok to do in lab.

I think they mean 'IP route' specifically. The IP default-net is a command
for setting a default network, it does not generate a static route in the
main IP routing table.
