Several months ago I read in a doument that Cisco recommends not to go over
40.
Obviously this depends on what platform you are running.
Just keep in mind that when te router loses a route, it will query each
neighbor and could lead to potential SIAs.
I have 7206 running with 30 neighbors and I have occasional SIAs.
Note that this is not a direct cause of SIAs but just another contributor.
A proper design with summarization and STUBs wherever possible will
certainly help.
