Did you check the stockroom? They're right next to the low-cost SONET
cards! Seriously, a DS3 CSU itself runs about $2000 last time I checked.
Adtran makes routers now, but it appears they max out at T1 speed. If price
really is an issue, I'd be tempted to search EBay for some stuff. With all
the telecom company failures, should be able to find a 3600 with HSSI at a
good price. Just make sure it works, have a Cisco reseller verify it so you
can buy a Smartnet (which I think is the policy now), and you're good to go.
