Frame relay map statement disables sending inverse arp requests for
given protocol on given DLCI. But if dynamic entries are already present
then static frame-relay map cannot be entered. You have to clear
dynamic entries with 'cle frame-relay inarp' or 'cle frame-relay-inarp'
(depending on IOS version) and then QUICKY enter your frame relay map
statement, before new dynamic entry will be resolved.
Of course you can completely shut down the interface and make necessary
changes but this will disrupt traffic on other DLCIs.
In lab environment, when all connections are fully meshed and we want to
use only some of them then completely disabling inverse arp and using
only static entries is always a good choice.
