actually " routes " displays advertised routes to a neighbor & received routes are from that neighbor

I got private response back but thought I would share the answer:
'routes' only displays accepted routes, 'received-routes' displays all
routes from a neighbor wether rejected or accepted.
If I wasn't soo lazy I could have looked in the command referance:(
