It is quite valid to build hierarchies of reflection. However, various
topologies can lead to route oscillation. Much of when and how to build

Yes. Indeed, good design usually dictates the use of redundant RRs per
RC. Many believe that having each RR in its own cluster (Cisco's
current default btw) is ideal, while others feel that both RRs in the
same cluster is ideal. Again, mostly philosphy and history I imagine.

Clients don't actually know they are clients and thus peer with whomever
will take them.
