Custom queuing and CBWFQ query

Hi,
I am a bit hazy about when to use Custom queuing or Class based wighted
fair queuing.....
Personally I prefer CBWFQ since its easier to configure and provides the
same result.....

But what ever solutions I have seen for bandwidth allocation for a traffic
class in most cases use custom queuing even when the question sometime
doesnt provide the byte count and packet lenghts....

So I am wondering whether there is somethin more to it other than the fact
that the base queuing mechanisms are different.....
