Hi,

I have a problem with redistribution between OSPF and RIP in Darth Reid lab.
PS : I replaced IGRP by RIP since IGRP is out of the lab...

If you look into the network topology, you're asked to redistribute between OSPF and
RIP and the opposite on router R1.

My problem is that the OSPF network 133.10.1.x/27 is not advertised to R2.
It's normal because the link between R1 and R2 is /24.

If I looked into the configuration file (on ciscopress site), I saw the following on R1
Area 0 range 133.10.1.0 255.255.255.224

In my point of view, this command is completely useless !!
It's not possible to do summarization into the area 0 if I'm wrong.

Why did they include this command ?
What can I do to solve this problem ?

Adding a secondary IP address on R1 and R2 with /27 ?
Using a Tunnel interface ? Can you give an example, please !

Thanks for your help.
