Nope.. no hope on this one.
access 1 permit any
router ei 1
network 150.100.23.0 0.0.0.255
distance 150 150.100.23.3 0.0.0.0 1
end
r2#sh ip ro ei
150.100.0.0/16 is variably subnetted, 6 subnets, 2 masks
D 150.100.33.0/27 [150/409600] via 150.100.23.3, 00:00:02, Ethernet0
D 150.100.3.0/24 [150/409600] via 150.100.23.3, 00:00:02, Ethernet0
D EX 192.168.0.0/16 [170/409600] via 150.100.23.3, 00:00:02, Ethernet0
r2#
As you can see, the external EIGRP (D EX) is still having AD of 150. I think the distance command
only works for internal (D) route for eigrp.

Please respond to

Hi,
using the access-list in the distance command can't we specify only the DEx
routes if you do not bother about the Ex routes? doesn't it solve the
issue? Just a thought...
thanks
