Hi Kip,

From my understanding Arin does not require that you have a /20 in order for
you to register or obtain an AS #. The only requirements for a public AS #
is

1. A unique routing policy (its policy differs from its border gateway
peers)

2. A multi-homed site. (which you mentioned)

In most scenarios there is no need to have a public AS # unless you are
multihomed to two ISPs.

I am uncertain what you are trying to accomplish so I am reluctant to say
ISPs will provide a solution. Contact me off list and maybe I can assist
you.

Thanks, Paul

Subject: ISP ARIN BGP

ARIN is currently requiring /20 for registration of AS #'s. That's a
huge block.
The other main requirement is being multi-holmed to 2 diff ISP's.

The big part of BGP is for the later of the requirements mentioned
above.(redundancy)
I don't see how they can disqualify you if you don't have a /20(4 class
C's).

There has got to be something I'm missing?

Question: Are their any other solutions, or do the ISP's provide a
solution.

Thanks in advance-

KPalmer
