At least, Enterprise version allows you do so.

Richard,

First thing to ask is why you need to do this??

If you are logging into your 2509 and then going on to the devices on
the aux lines, you do not need to do this. Telnet to the 2509 and put in
the port number of the device. you will connect straight through and not
use any tty lines.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I am trying to increase the number of vty ports on a 2509 router. It
has IP plus with image name c2500-is-l.121-17.bin
If I show line vty ? it shows:

Routera(config)#line vty ?
<0-4> First Line number

However on a 2503 with IOS IP Plus plus IPSEC with Image name
c2500-js56i-l.121-16.bin it shows:

Routerb(config)#line vty ?
<0-197> First Line number

Routera's image version 12.1.17 is one dot rev later than Routerb's
12.1.16.
I cannot put the second image on Routera because of memory limitations.
Does anyone know what version on 2500 routers the vty ports were
increased?
