Anyone who thinks that they have every command and it's proper use memorized
is not ready for the exam. If you have spent all your time memorizing every
possible command then you certainly haven't left yourself time to do much
REAL study. Even the best of us will have to refer to the Doc CD at some
point.
The object of your study should be to know the core topics COLD. If you
want to pass then you can't afford to lose any points on core topics. I
have every intention of using the doc CD to help me on obscure topics. I
will have my base config done by lunch. This should leave the entire
afternoon to look up obscure topics and commands, and review configs.
That isn't to say that I'm not going to at least touch every topic in my
practice studies, but I'm certainly not going to waste too many hours on
IPSec if I don't feel completely comfortable with BGP.

Dude, yes hyper terminal in on the lab exam. it will
be up and ready on your screen when you walk in. YOu
can even TELNEt to the routers if you wish. The
proctor is VERY helpful for questions like this.
Notepad and Calculator is also available. THe W2K PC I
was on In SJ had all the functionality.
You don't need bookmarks just know the Doc CD and open
your browser. If you need your bookmarks your NOT
ready for the exam.
