Everyone,

Last week I took the lab exam and I was not successful. It was a good experience for me and I have no regrets. I believe that the exam is fair and exacts the necessary skills that are needed in the industry. Here is my tips for the group.....

Understand what you don't know and why. What are your weak areas. How do you improve on them, do you need more lab time, more reading, or both. There were some areas that I did not spend as much time as the core topics. Going into the exam I knew what they were so I concentrated on the stuff that I did know and left the remainder for the end.

It's most important to read the questions and understand what they are looking for. If you get stuck move on immediately, hopefully the answers will come after the mental block. Confidence is definitely needed as well although there was topics that I struggled with, I found some of the answers because I believed I could.

Finally, I will make another attempt very soon. I know that I will be successful because I see where I need to focus on. The test is definitely something in my grasp, the question I always ask myself is how bad do you want it.

If you first don't succeed try try again

BRYAN
