If you have a service contract with Cisco, you can get a free copy of the
doc set shipped to you at home under your entitlement. I found this out
after I spent about 300 bucks on my 12.1 set. To order, write down your
contract number (you can find this on your profile if you don't know it
offhand) and go to:

http://www.cisco.com/upgrade

Click on Launch Product Upgrade Tool and login then click on Select
Documentation. You should see a ridiculously long list of documents that
are available to you for free. Don't forget to get the 3550 Config Guide
and Command Ref as well as the doc set. The doc set is there as a single
item, if you use the Find function on your browser you can locate it if you
use "documentation set". I have a feeling that the guys who are selling
Cisco documentation on eBay are doing just this.

Enjoy.
