Is Cisco still giving out GOLD medals ? did anybody received a gold medal?

As was mentioned already, you will get your plaque after quite a wait.. For
anyone wondering, in the archives you can find links showing what the new

Here is information I received on it back in August from Cisco:
The new plaque vendor began manufacturing plaques in February, beginning
with the oldest orders first and moving forward in sequence. I believe
the order was just submitted for the December 2001 CCIE's. It will
depend on the vendor as to how fast you will get your plaque.
The plaque will be the new style and you are not given the choice.
As far as the old plaques go, you can order them from another vendor, here's
the pricing I received:
Qty Unit Cost
1 $189.50 ea, plus tax, shipping & handling
2- 10 $170.50 ea, plus tax, shipping & handling (plaques can be for
different certificates)
11-14 $142.35 ea, plus tax, shipping & handling
Export Documentation Fee $ 18.50, (for shipping outside of the USA) plus
Destination Country Duties & Taxes
Shipping in USA via UPS Ground/International shipping via Fed Ex. Costs are
determined upon delivery.
The vendor sent me pics of the old style plaque as well.. I think it's
funny they had pricing for 11-14.. You can have one in your car, office,
house, mother-in-laws...
