Derek,
By default the dead interval is 4 times the hello interval. Just change the
hello interval to 30 and this will automatically change the dead interval.
Make sure you make this change on all routers with interfaces on that
network or you will lose your adjacencies.
HTH,
Joe Martin

Subject: OSPF Dead-Interval .
Quick Question..
Were is it possible to change the dead interval on OSPF without using the IP
OSPF Dead-Interval Command. I need to change the interval to 120 Seconds.
Non-Broadcast Links have a Dead Interval of 120, could this be the answer
even
though the Area to be changed is a Broadcast Area "Ethernet" not
Frame-Relay.
I cant find this anywhere.
Regards
Derek
