just don't put a dialer string on the other side.
(No number to dial ==> no dialing :-)

There are two ways of merging multiple channels into one
call (cisco's own and MPPP). If you configure none, none
will be used (and only one channel will be used per destination).

'ppp authentication chap callin' is only for determining who
authenticates who. Normally both ends mutually authenticate each other
if authentication is configured.

Also, you still need interesting traffic in the receiving side, or else
the receiving side will be dropping the connection every 2 minutes.
(default idle time)...

I would suggest you do review the list archives. There are tons of info
and interesting things in there for you to discover regarding DDR and
almost every other topic.
