Hey guys,
Peter is right. You can mark CoS values at the switch, but you'll need a
dot1q trunk to your router to preserve the marking. You can then build
class/priority maps on your router mapping layer 2 CoS to layer 3 IP
ToS/DSCP values. You'll need to do this in order to provide expedited
service to your voice traffic. Take a look at CCO...there are PLENTY of docs
on how this is performed along with config examples. Search for LLQ.
Alternately, shoot me an email offline and I can send you a config or 2.

Hi Persio,
The 802.1q tag includes 3 bits for priority which are defined by
802.1p. Hence, you need 802.1q tags inserted in order to use 802.1p, so
I'd say its not only possible, but necessary as far as I know.
