Reference is Parkhurst's BGP Command and Configuration Handbook
Chap 8, sec 8-1.
Anyone recall having problems getting the advertise-map to
advertise the secondary prefix once the primary prefix disappears
from the BGP table.
I did discover and corrected an error in access-list 1 in the lab,
but I still can't the lab to work. I'm using 121-5.T9, and I've
upgraded my equivalent of Parkhurst's Router A to 121-5.T12, with
no change in symptons.
I've also noticed that removing the conditional advertisement
neighbor statement and resetting the bgp session doesn't release
the prefix initially suppressed by the advertise-map although
by debugging bgp updates, I see indications that the advertise-map
has been deconfigured. It actually takes a router reload to
re-advertise the secondary prefix.
BGP(0): 10.1.1.2 144.223.8.0/24 matches advertise map secondary, state:
Deconfigured
