Lab exam notes?

Does someone could instruct us what's important and need to note at lab
test, such as I known:

Always update bgp with loopback interface.
Do not use PPP multilink if not require.
No sync IGP/BGP
EIGRP split horizon problem
Setting bandwidth at every interface when EIGRP/OSPF are use.
Passive routing update to unnecessary interface.
Routes summarization.
Make sure configuration meet the exam requirement.
Ask question as expert.
Save configuration script to flash when one step done.

Any others the books or documents never covered ?
