Brian,
You are right! When I configure 'ip ospf priority 0' on the spoke router,
the 'neighbor' command on the spoke router disappear. This is what Solie's
book mention also, that if the ospf priority is 0, the neighbor command will
not appear in the configuration.
So I test it with 'neighbor' command only on the hub router, and try not to
put 'ip ospf priority 0' on the spoke, the neighbor will still form, but the
DR/BDR are in the wrong location because of RID, and the ospf not quite
work. So I configure 'ip ospf priority 0' on the spoke, and the DR is now
on the hub router, and it works perfectly.
So, should I say that it doesn't matter whether I set the priority as 0 on
the spoke, or i set the priority as 255 on the hub, as long as the hub is
the DR, I only need to config the 'neighbor' on the hub and it should work,
right?
Thanks a lot!
Benny
