Dlsw ethernet redundancy question

on Cisco CD, there is a configuration example for ethernet redundancy.
following is the code. the question is:mac address configured under e1
shouldn't it be the same as local-mac in the mapping statement?if it is
not what is the relationship between mac:4000.0000.0001 and
4000.0001.0000and mac 4000.0000.0011 and 4000.0201.0001? any help is
