cyscoExpert sample problem

hi,guys

I got the sample lab1 on cyscoExpert site.
Two questions:

1 "do not use the ip ospf hello-interval or ip ospf dead-interval" to change the dead interval to 120 sec?how?
2 R1---R2---------R5----R3
   R1 and R2 in area 12, R5 and R3 in area0, R2 and R5 in area 51, R3 has external routes redistributed in ospf, the sample said "R1 should not see any external ospf routes of LSA type 5, and R1 should no t see default route from R2" HOW
