 Don't know about the nice part but... This seems to be talking about
two differant things. As far I as know the idle timer will keep the
connection form being dropped but no the multilink.

  I recall a while back that 1 and 2 were no longer valid so I use 3 if
I want a low threshold to bring up a second link but the idle timer will
not keep or bring up the second or subsequent links of a bundle.
