If you go under the router ospf process and add the command "router-id
x.x.x.x" this will automatically update the router id for the ospf
process immediately without having to reboot the router or clearing the
ip ospf process id.
Hope this helps.

Subject: Is there other method except reload router when router id
changed?
If I put a new high loopback interface in a router, and it's part of a
virtual-link, it will change the router id,
so I have to reconfigure the vitual-link with that loopback address, and
restart router. But restart a router
will waste some time,I wonder if ther is other methods will make the
router id changed?
