It was my first attempt.
Thanks to everyone who posted as this is a very good media for study
especially on the more obscure areas of the exam without it I do not think I
could of passed
My tips to you all who are attempting
- The night before relax and go and have some fun (Fun is not a
swear word and you will not get struck down) you have to have a clear mind
before sitting otherwise you will burn yourself out. I went to a movie with
some friends worked wonders.
- Practice taking a scenario and documenting it on paper (not just
a simple diagram), if you can take a complicated scenario and simplify it on
paper in a form that you can quickly convert to commands it will increase
your time and give you and overview of the entire setup before you type in
the commands allowing you to spot issues
- Respect to all the proctors I do not know how you can set in a
lab for 8-9 hours a day and having to deal with some of the questions we
students put to you.
- 8 hours is a lot of time if you use it well, do not dwell on
those questions that you are having issues with. Mark them and come back
later (Even if they are core as you can sometimes fix those issues or get a
better look at it from further down the track .\
Thank you all for your help and good luck to everyone going to sit their
lab
PS I notice we seem to be averaging about a dozen new CCIEs a day worldwide
I wonder when the tide will ebb
Cheers
