I forgot to include:

default-information originate

From the command reference:

Whenever you use the redistribute or the default-information router
configuration commands to redistribute routes into an OSPF routing domain,
the Cisco IOS software automatically becomes an Autonomous System Boundary
Router (ASBR). However, an ASBR does not, by default, generate a default
route into the OSPF routing domain.

The only subnet I see in your example is 173.168.40.0
which is directly connected.

I think you can clear the ospf database with the
"clear ip ospf process" command.
