This is not an appropriate forum for these sort of questions. The majority of people here are trying to concentrate on the technical issues involved in passing the lab. They deserve as little noise about declining salaries, lack of jobs, CSCO stock prices and the plethora of other issues that those of us that have passed have the leisure to consider. There is a jobs forum on groupstudy; this would be on topic there.
One would hope that those that have the long term view necessary to prepare for as substantial and challenging a certification as the CCIE would also have the patience and the wherewithal to weather a recession that is nearly over. If not, one would hope that they express their doubts and trepidations in the appropriate place.
Best of luck on the job search!

Subject: Re: OT: Anyone was lucky in CCIE job quest recently?
I have the very same concern about the worthiness of my CCIE. I have not seen too much out there for CCIE so far in my job hunting. Anyone feel the same way?
Group,
Sorry for being slightly off topic, but my curiosity is killing me:
Does anyone here (from all of less fortunate and recently unemployed)
had any luck in his/her job search?
I landed a job after couple of weeks of being laid-off, but not
really CCIE position. Job market seems to be incredibly shallow
those days, or is it only my impression?
Przemek, CCIE #9958
(who is seriously wondering if CCIE is really helpful to increase
a chances to land a good job...)
