  I fairly certain the 2620 and above support both ISL and dot1q. It's the
1751,1721, etc that only support dot1q. Here's a link:

  Of course, you need IP PLUS to make it work, but at least the router is
capable of it.

The 2600's absolutely do not support ISL - only dot1q. Why not run it
through the feature navigator to get an idea of what's what? FN isn't
perfect, but it will help you narrow things down.

Also, ISL is on its way out. Trunking is trunking. In terms of configuring
a trunk, there's very little differnce. Why bother with ISL if you can do
dot1q today?
