My guess is the original poster wants to use a smaller image for quicker
reloads or smaller memory limitations in their routers while getting all the
necessary features. Using Enterprise has made this easy in the past, but
with removal of IPX/Token Ring the question will come up. Take a look at
this link (scroll down to 2500 and 2600) and all the features broken down
one at a time and whether they are supported or not supported on each
version. It is probably a difficult task, not to mention a glaring nda
situation to compare experiences to find the smallest/lightest IOS that
includes all features across all versions of the test.
