If you are by chance running the Cisco TFTP server on a Win2K machine,
don't. It is not reliable on Win2K. I use Solarwinds, but there are of
course many others out there.

Try restarting your tftp server again.

Subject: IOS update problem

I want to try to load IOS on a 2520 router. I already
backuped the IOS c2500-i-l.120-5.T.bin file on the
tftp server. Then I config config-register 0x2101 to
boot with ROM. Then I try to load the IOS image from
the tftp server.

I use : copy tftp flash,

The network connection is OK. I can ping the tftp
server. When I try to load the image, I got:

Loading c2500-i-l.120-5.T.bin ... [timed out]

and I try to backup again this time, I got:

Copy aborted - TFTP timeout

Does anyone know what's the problem?

Thanks for help.

Best Wishes,
Peng Zheng
