I read the in Solie it says
DLSW with direct encapsulation does not support host located in non Token ring interface.
But then again someone mentioned about it being outdated and the new IOS suppose to support this
feature.
What IOS are you running at ?

Hi,
Can we get a Dlsw Direct circuit to be established
between end-stations residing on Ethernet & Tokenring
lans?. Here is the topology:
DSPU1:e0------e0:R1:se0----fr---se0:R2:t0---t0:DSPU2
Passthru configured on both R1 and R2's local peer.
They both formed DLSW peers with each other. However,
ckt is not established between DSPU1 & DSPU2.
I read somewhere that for direct encap to work, the
end stations should reside on tokenring interfaces. Is
this correct?
Did I pick a wrong topology to test direct encap? or
did I miss something?
Please advise. TIA.
-Jack
PS: I can get the circuit up for TCP encap.
