I'd be interested in the answer as well... I've always assumed the p2p
config prevents the loopback from being treated as a stub-host as OSPF
will do. Instead, it is treated as a "network" and the mask in honored.

Again, I'm not certain of this. Can someone confirm?

Why does putting that command under the interfaces change it to a /24 is
there any other use for that command on a loopback interfaces appart
from doing that..

Or when else might you need to use that command on a loopback
interface...
