Hi,
You can configure Layer-2 VLAN by two different ways:
1. Sw#Vlan 1
2. Sw# Vlan database
Sw-XXX#Vlan 1 and other VTP command.
There is no major difference here except the say u give commands.
However please note that u can not configure extended range of
VLANs in VLAN database config mode.
3. Sw#Int Vlan 1 is the SVI which u r creating to for inter VLAN
routing.
