        Ahhh... I assumed that you were actually advertising these
networks...

        The prefixes have to actually be in the EIGRP topology with a
feasible distance that is not inaccessible for them to be candidate for
summarization.

This translates to either:

1. An EIGRP route in the IP routing table
2. A directly connected network that is originated with the "network"
statement under EIGRP

        This is the same case with BGP aggregation. You can't aggregate
something that you don't have in the BGP table.

        What's the moral of the story you may ask? Don't assume
anything. When you assume, you make an ass out of u and me.
