You don't have any IP address's assigned I would bet.
Assign an IP to an interface ( loopback if necessary ) and then try again.
OSPF needs an IP to use as its Router-ID. You don't have one on the router,
so it can't assign itself a router-ID.

Subject: strange router issue.
I have been working on a 2651 router for the past few hours in a lab running
ospf.
I finished a lab and erased the configs and reloaded the routers.
Now when I went to configure this 2651 router for ospf in this new lab I get
the following error.
Router1(config)#router ospf 100
OSPF :Could not allocate router id
All other routing protocols seem to work fine.. I can't see what's wrong..
Anyone any idea's
